Embrace the authentic taste of our 40g Matcha Cream Ice Mochi. This flavour captures the true essence of Japanese matcha—not like your typical latte, but a pure, earthy experience. With mellow bitterness, sweet grassy notes, and natural nuttiness, each bite is a treat crafted for matcha lovers and purists.

For the best experience, try these simple steps:

  1. Take it Out – Start by removing your mochi from the freezer.
  2. Wait 5-10 Minutes – Let it sit to reach optimal creaminess and flavour.
  3. Savour the Matcha – Enjoy the complex, earthy flavour of authentic matcha in every bite.

Waiting a few minutes enhances this mochi’s unique profile. The natural bitterness balances with sweetness, creating a bold, smooth flavour. The soft, chewy rice shell elevates the earthy notes, making each bite a rich experience. Unlike ice cream, this treat won't melt—just pause, then enjoy.

Perfect for anyone who appreciates real matcha, thisMatcha Cream Ice Mochi offers a taste of Japan that’s both refreshing and grounding. Whether you’re winding down or sharing with friends, our Matcha Mochi delivers an authentic experience, bringing the calm and complexity of Japanese tea fields to you.

Your questions answered

Due to the unique technology that is used in preparing our mochi, you can enjoy them both frozen and defrosted as they do not melt and drip like ice cream, but rather turn into a mousse-like texture.

However, for Cream Ice Mochi we do recommend waiting for 10 minutes once they have been taken out of freezer for the best consistency of the shell and the fillings.

As for the Cool Fruit and Whole Fruit collections, we recommend waiting at least 40 minutes for all the fruits to be fully defrosted.

For longer storage, we recommend storing our mochi in a freezer. This way they can be stored for up to a month.

You can also store them in a fridge, but they must be consumed within 2 to 3 days after being defrosted in a fridge.

Mochi that have been defrosted in a fridge should never be frozen again and must be consumed within 2-3 days of being stored in a fridge.

Our mochi are produced in Japan using the state-of-art technologies combined with hundreds of years of expertise of Japanese mochi makers. Even if you find other mochi in the UK that are produced in Japan, most likely they will be available only in traditional flavours (for example with Adzuki Red Beans). Yuum’s ‘The Real Mochi’ collection is the biggest mochi collection available in the UK that has been authentically produced in Japan.

We have same-day and next-day services depending on the delivery address. Our next-day delivery services use insulated packaging and plenty of ice packs to ensure the products are safe to be stored away in a freezer when delivered!
